Big Truck Playdate Family Storytime

Join us for a truck-filled storytime with local author Laurie Carmody! Laurie will read her new picture book Big Truck Playdate, answer questions, and sign copies of the book. This event is presented by Curious Iguana in partnership with FCPL.

FCPL will provide toy trucks to play with following the reading.

About the book: The heartwarming story of a boy on the autism spectrum who finds that a shared love of trucks gives him the self-confidence and courage to make friends.

About the author: Laurie Carmody is a picture-book author from a little town in Maryland, where she lives with her husband and two children. Before becoming a writer, she created training programs for adults and taught preservice teachers how to use technology in their classrooms. Laurie is also a homeschool teacher, pianist, and SCBWI member.
