Black Children’s Book Party

You’re invited to join us as we celebrate the joy and creativity of Black children and their books. The afternoon will include Read Aloud's, games, and giveaways.  Featured self-published authors include:

  • Kim C. Lee, author of The Night Owl, Meet Frankie Jordan, and Grand Joy
  • Carliss Maddox, author of Firstgarten! and #thebuildup: 12 Daily Affirmations for Young Boys of Color
  • Aisha Rice, author of My Kinky Coily Hair
  • Jamila Romero, author of A to Z Black Girl Affirmations and A to Z Black Boy Affirmations
  • Chaundra Scott, author of Curls and Coils, Beautiful Shades, Sweet Dreams, and The All-Star

This afternoon of fun and celebration is a collaboration between What is Black?, Baltimore Read Aloud, and the Frederick County Public Libraries.
