Vivian Fisher, manager of the African American Department at the State Library Resource Center, will share stories about African American women who were instrumental in shaping the Civil Rights Movement. The contributions of Ruby Dee, Angela Davis, Daisy Bates, and Ruby Bridges will be discussed along with lesser-known individuals who played pivotal roles in the struggle for Civil Rights.
