Event Details

On April 23, 1755, British Major General Edward Braddock, Lt. Col. George Washington, and Benjamin Franklin met in Frederick to discuss an attack on the French Ft. Duquesne. Braddock and his troops marched west through Maryland on British North America’s western frontier. Although Braddock died at the Battle of Monongahela, his road remains. Retrace his army’s steps to learn more about the history of the French and Indian War and its impact on western Maryland.
