Join us as we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month by listening to genealogist Joe Ginorio’s fascinating family history that extends back to the time of the American Revolution and his family's culture of service. Joe's 5th great-grandfather was the Lt. Governor of Cuba and later the Governor of Puerto Rico in the late 1700s; his aunt was a student leader during the Puerto Rican Nationalist uprising in the 1950s; his mother was the Secretary and Official Interpreter to President Sukarno of Indonesia; and Mr. Ginorio himself served in the Merchant Marines and the Air Force before working for the Central Intelligence Agency from 2006-2015.  Also learn about this lesser known history of the American Revolution, the support that Spain gave the Colonial Army, as we begin to commemorate American250.
