She is currently with the American Battlefield Protection Program assisting in preserving battlefields from all time periods on American soil for the National Park Service.  From 1996 to 2001 she was assigned to the Gettysburg and Eisenhower National Historic Sites and will talk about some of the work done there, often through cooperative agreements with universities.This program is part of World War I and America, a two-year national initiative of The Library of America presented in partnership with The Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History, the National World War I Museum and Memorial, and other organizations, with generous support from The National Endowment for the Humanities.
