Documentary Screening: The Tale of the Lion

Come and view a screening of The Tale of the Lion: Our Voices, Our Stories, a documentary film based on interviews with twenty-five of Frederick County's "living treasures," African-American people who are ninety and older.   Barbara Thompson (a Walkersville branch patron) and her cousin, the late David Key, both leaders in the African American Resources Cultural and Heritage Society interviewed those featured in the film for over a year and half to preserve their stories and inspire all who hear them.
