Frederick County Public Libraries will close at 5pm on Wednesday, November 27 and will remain closed on Thursday November 28, and Friday November 29, 2024 in observance of Thanksgiving.

Are you skilled in chess or looking to brush up on your skills? Are you a chess master in your own home? Celebrate Frederick County's 275th Anniversary and the legacy of Frederick's Theophilus Thompson, the earliest documented African-American chess expert in the U.S., as you challenge members of Frederick Chess Club to a game of strategy!
