Holiday Closing - Thanksgiving

Frederick County Public Libraries will close at 5pm on Wednesday, November 27 and will remain closed on Thursday November 28, and Friday November 29, 2024 in observance of Thanksgiving.

Frederick County 275th: Teddy Bear Tea Party at Gambrill State Park Tea Room

Event Details

Bring your stuffy friend to a "tea party" at the top of Gambrill Mountain - where socialites used to gather for afternoon tea. Do the Hokey Pokey, make art with your stuffy and learn about bears in Frederick County. Bring your camera for a Meet-and-Greet with Smokey Bear.

Note: No food or drink will be served at this event. 

The Gambrill Tea Room has been a part of Frederick County history for over 70 years. The structure was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930's.
