Event Details
Join sustainability experts from the Frederick County Division of Energy and Environment and the nonprofit Solar United Neighbors to explore options for converting to renewable energy, upgrading your home, and lowering your utility bills! Staff will introduce you to the County’s Green Homes Program, which can connect you to rebates and tax incentives, plus offers no-cost home improvements for low- to moderate-income households. You’ll also learn about Solar Switch, a limited-time, group-driven, cooperative purchasing discount program that can help procure and install affordable solar energy systems for the rooftop of your home or small business. (Electric vehicle chargers are offered through the program as well.) There will be a presentation at 5:30 followed by a Q&A session. Light refreshments will be served and staff will be on hand until 7pm with giveaways.
