How Recycling Really Works

This Adult-level program is for those who want a deeper understanding of what happens to all the stuff tossed in a blue bin. Staff from the County Office of Recycling will discuss what can (and can't) be recycled in Frederick County (and why). Then, learn how all the materials get sorted, where it gets sold, and what YOU can do to help the  local program - and the global recycling industry -  perform better. Participants may bring in packaging or material samples they have specific questions about.
