Come learn more about the African-American women who were instrumental in shaping the Civil Rights Movement during the 1950s and 1960s. Vivian ___ from the Maryland State Library Resource Center will be here to tell us more about the contributions of activists such as Ruby Dee, Angela Davis, Daisy Bates, and Ruby Bridges. She will also share lesser-known stories about those women who often receive little recognition but played a pivotal role in the struggle for civil rights.
