Monthly meeting of the Monocacy Archeological Society, the local chapter of the Maryland Archeological Society. The meeting consists of a speaker on topic of interest to the practice of local archeology and history. The meeting will feature C. Beau Lockard, archeologist, and Historic Preservation Planner with Frederick County, who will be providing a presentation titled “The Last Potters of Salem, NC: An excavation of an 1840s pottery workshop and the ceramic history of Salem, NC”. The presentation represents Mr. Lockard’s research and excavation of the site. Open to all.
