Museums by Candlelight: Local Author Showcase, Exhibits, and the Walkersville High School String Quartet

Once a year, Frederick County’s historic sites and museums, including the Maryland Room, provide visitors with a  reminder of our area's remarkable past. During Museums by Candlelight, special programming will delight visitors of all ages.  Case displays include miniatures by local artist Kunie Stabley, duck busts by a noted wildlife carver, and selections from the Maryland Room's Children's book collection of late 19th and early 20th century titles.  This year's "Local Author Showcase" will include, among others, Richard C. White, Robert Walton, and Nancy Spannaus. The Walkersville High School's String Quartet will be performing in the afternoon.  Part of the yearly celebration of the Frederick Historic Sites Consortium.
