Program Description

Event Details

Native pollinators are facing challenges from declines in their habitat and food supplies, line nectar and pollen. Learn how communities can help support native bees and other pollinators by providing and protecting their habitats through simple actions like planting one square foot of native wildflowers and preserving old logs, wood, and snag trees in your yard or local park. Maryland Master Naturalist John Allender will tell the story of native bees, and will invite the community to help with onsite planting of pollinators.

This program is part of Green Fest and is sponsored by a #plantwildflowers grant. Free seeds will be available to create your own one-square-foot garden at home.
