Learn local history and ecology with a certified arborist!
Jenny Willoughby, of the Frederick County Department of Sustainability, will be guiding us on a 2-hour hike along the C&O Canal, while teaching how to identify native tree species.
Enjoy fresh air and fun with fellow hikers!
Attendees can meet at the Point of Rocks Community Commons Park, in the upper lot near the picnic tables. The hike will begin at the Mile 48.2 signpost on the C&O Canal trail. Parking is also available at the boat launch, near the starting point of the hike, if you prefer to meet there.
