Join Catoctin Mountain Park Artist-In-Residence Martina Maya-Callen for an Artist Talk exploring the transformative power of infusing nature into art as a pathway to healing.
Martina has spent the last decade at the intersection of Community-based Art and Arts and Medicine, using creativity and movement as a catalyst for restoration and awareness. She is the Founder of Love Your Vessel International LLC, an award-winning social enterprise dedicated to body acceptance and healing through the arts. Martina has spoken nationally and internationally- including for TEDx and the United Nations- about her research on art as a tool for awareness and transformation.
She is also currently an Artist-In-Residence at Inova Arts and Health and the Smith Center for Arts & Healing, working primarily with individuals undergoing chemotherapy to use art as a vehicle for stress reduction and holistic healing.
