Read Across Maryland: Meet Kwame Alexander (Ages 3-Adult)

Newbery winner Kwame Alexander comes to Frederick as part of the "rock star" tour for his stunning new picture book, HOW TO READ A BOOK, illustrated by Caldecott Honoree Melissa Sweet. Kwame will be joined by musician Randy Preston, who will share songs and entertain the audience with his guitar. The program will last approximately 30 minutes, followed by a book signing. Copies of HOW TO READ A BOOK and a selection of Kwame's previously published titles will be available for purchase at the event. Kwame will sign any books purchased at the event and up to two books brought from home. Presented in partnership with Curious Iguana. A sign language interpreter will be provided for this event.
