"Museums by Candlelight": Local Author Showcase, Exhibits, and the Walkersville High School String Quartet

Once a year, Frederick County’s historic sites and museums, including the Maryland Room, provide visitors with a living reminder of this area's remarkable past. During Museums by Candlelight, special programming will delight visitors of all ages. At CBA you can see the "Lafayette 200 Display", a traveling exhibit from the American Friends of Lafayette. Case exhibits include miniatures by local artist Kunie Stabley, decorative fish decoys used in ice fishing, and selections from the Maryland Room's Children's book collection of late 19^th and early 20^th century titles.  This year's "Local Author Showcase" will include among others Thomas J. Baker, Randy Gray, Paul Kreingold, Julianne Mangin, Reiner Prochaska, Jim Rada, and Nancy Spannaus. The Walkersville High School's String Quartet will be performing from 2-4.
