Fun in the Sun! Science with National Institute of Health

Participants will discuss the electromagnetic spectrum, looking closely at visible light and UV-rays. Participants will explore materials that absorb verses reflect UV-rays and how they pertain to staying safe in the sun. This will be demonstrated through glow-in-the-dark water! Then, participates will create beaded animal then design an Ultraviolet Light Shelter to protect it. Their structure will be tested outside to see if the beads glow from being exposed to sunlight.
