Celebrate the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11 landing on the moon with free planetarium shows, model rocket launches, activities for kids, and a keynote from Ken Getzandanner, a Frederick County native, resident, and NASA Flight Project Engineer for the Osiris Rex mission. Presented in partnership with Earth and Space Science Lab, 210 Madison St., Frederick. Schedule: 10 a.m.: Opening ceremony with model rocket launch 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.: activities for all ages 10:30 a.m.: Planetarium show (free tickets available at the event; first come, first served) 11:30 a.m.: Planetarium show (free tickets available at the event; first come, first served) 12:30 p.m.: Planetarium show (free tickets available at the event; first come, first served) 2 p.m.: Keynote followed by model rocket launch Tent for the event provided by Frederick County Parks & Recreation.
