Join us for a lovely afternoon learning about story quilts with Dr. Angela Lanier. Dr. Lanier will focus on what story quilts are and will highlight the diverse roles of story quilts, as well as quilts she has made. This event will delight you---whether you're a quilter, seamstress, artist, historian or creative person.
Dr. Lanier is a self-taught quilter who enjoys improvisational quilting. She's a member of the Uhuru Quilters Guild and has shared her work in the Washington D.C. area as well as across the country, including The Textile Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota and the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.
