The Surgical Technology A.A.S. Degree Program provides students with a foundation in the sciences and in the principles and practices of the surgical technologist’s roles during the phases of surgery. The essential components of this health career are applied through extensive preceptored clinical experiences. A 60-65 credit A.A.S. degree option combines the clinical and didactic coursework of the certificate with general education requirements. Graduates with a certificate may work as a surgical technologist while completing the A.A.S. degree courses. Many employers will assist with the cost of tuition.
