A WASTE FREE EVENT to promote Saving & Using our WATER Resources by LIVING GREEN with the Entire Family! DISCOVER ACTIVITIES out on the covered deck and behind the Thurmont Regional Library on the new Library Nature Trail! Crafts, scavenger hunt, stories, wildflower planting and adventure await!
- Free Electronic Recycling - bring anything that plugs in, working or non-working!! Help the “Buddy Project”
- Free Green Raffle: for a Rain Barrel, eco bags, insulated coolers, nature art & more!
- Visit with the Cunningham Falls State Park “Scales & Tales” hawk and reptile.
- Try your hand at Water Quality testing! Frederick County Master Gardeners will share information about Native Pollinators to save the Butterflies & BEES & ways to keep them watered for Free! See the latest information on the Thurmont Trolley Trail extensions! Build a blue bird house for the Library Nature Trail with the H&F Trolley Assoc.
- FREE Native Maryland Gray dogwood and Button bush seedlings! Sign up to HELP maintain a Trolley Trail Garden or Wildflower Meadow along Woodside Ave.
