For many of us, the primary way we are remembered in the public eye is through our obituary.  An obituary not only provides information about one's death and funeral, but also documents our lives and family. Writing one's own obituary allows us to control how we want to be remembered.  What do you want people to know about you after you have passed?  The FCPL Maryland Room has one of the largest obituary collections in the country, the staff deal with a lot of obituaries, and has thoughts about what makes a great obituary. Join Mary Mannix, the Maryland Room Manager, to discuss obituaries and how to write an outstanding obituary for yourself or a loved one.
