Splash into summer with Mermaid Eureka! She’s made it ashore just in time to meet you at Emmitsburg Beach Party. Take advantage of the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take a picture with a real mermaid.

While summer is here, enjoy a free lunch! While supplies last, lunches are available via carry-out or curbside pick-up for youth ages 0-18.


Introducing toddlers and their caregivers to a variety of preschool-readiness skills including fine motor development, social emotional skills, and early literacy activities. 

Instructor Ayanna Gallant from the Aya Cultural Arts Studio will be teaching a mini lesson on West African drums.

The City of Frederick will visit us serve lunches for children and teens (under 18) each afternoon this summer from 12:15-1:00 pm. Lunch will be served June 10 -August 16 (lunches will not be served on June 19 & July 4).

Get in the Olympic spirit with us! We'll be creating our own flags and learning about flags from around the world. There will be some fun summer prizes for our flag trivia game!

What can you create using our collection of recycled materials? Learn about repurposing and recycling during this creative open ended art and engineering program. All materials will be provided.

Discover how to create a graphic novel! Jump into the basics of storytelling and how to tell your narrative through art and text together. All levels of artists are welcome.

Bring your own sewing machine and learn how to use it! We will learn how to use our machines, machine maintenance, and complete small projects.

Spend your summer Tuesday afternoons with us. Learn a new skill, create art, and hang out with your friends! Suitable for teens in grades 6-12 (activities while supplies last). 

Try one of our designs or create your own way to launch a pompom into the air. Designed for children in grades K-5.

Learn to play a new tabletop game with other game fans in the community. Fran Roth, game herald for Envoy Games, will demo and teach the game Patrician: Towers of Influence (ages 8 through adult).
