Holiday Closing - Thanksgiving
Frederick County Public Libraries will close at 5pm on Wednesday, November 27 and will remain closed on Thursday November 28, and Friday November 29, 2024 in observance of Thanksgiving.

Songs, stories, and fun for toddlers and their grownups. Designed for 2 year olds with a caregiver.Songs, stories, and fun for the whole family. Designed for ages 0 & up with a caregiver.
Join us for outside storytime. Enjoy stories, songs, fingerplays, rhymes, and more! Ages 0-5. Consider bringing a blanket for sitting on the ground. Storytime will move inside in the event of bad weather.
Songs, stories, and fun for preschoolers and their grownups. Designed for ages 3-5 with a caregiver.
Designed with beginning mobility in mind, join us for movement, songs, stories and more that will guide caregivers toward early learning and literacy for toddlers.
Gear up for exciting adventures happening right in our backyard! This program will feature hands-on fun and even some special guests, every Wednesday all summer long. In the event of inclement weather, this program will be held inside.
Sol Yoga Good Cause Class
Join us for this free yoga class offered by Sol Yoga's Good Cause Division. Wear comfortable clothes and bring a yoga mat. Donations accepted.While summer is here, enjoy a free lunch! Lunches available for carry-out or curbside pick-up for youth ages 0-18. Funds provided by Glade Valley Community Services and the Town of Walkersville.
Join us outside after storytime for some creative play time. Ages 0-5. Creative Play move inside in the event of bad weather.
This summer, free lunches will be available from Tuesday through Thursday for youths 18 and under. Lunch may be picked up between 12 and 1pm, while supplies last, and may be carried out or enjoyed on the library's covered deck.
The City of Frederick will visit us serve lunches for children and teens (under 18) each afternoon this summer from 12:15-1:00 pm. Lunch will be served June 5-August 18 (lunches will not be served on June 19 & July 4).

This interactive show feels like stepping into a cabinet of curiosities, filled with supernatural paintings, mysterious elixirs, mind-reading devices, and more.
Join a Librarian and a Park Ranger for a "turtley" awesome Storytime! We will read a story, go for a short walk on the trail, meet some live turtles, and do a craft to take home. Be sure to wear appropriate clothing for being outdoors!
