This annual event highlights the history of maple syrup in Maryland. The event includes opportunities to see maple syrup demonstrations, delicious breakfast items with locally-made maple syrup, and much, much more. 

Come and celebrate the first day of Spring with us! We'll enjoy music, movement, and stories for the whole family. Designed for ages 3-5 and up with a caregiver. 

Let's sing and dance because "You Can't Stop the Beat!" We'll enjoy music, movement, and stories from popular Broadway shows with the whole family. Designed for ages 0 and up with a caregiver. 

Shri Yoga is a calming but challenging style practiced in an informal environment. Classes include various asanas, breathing exercises, chakra vibration, mantras, and relaxation techniques. Attendees are welcome to bring their own mat.

Engage your baby's senses with activities designed just for them while visiting with other caregivers. For ages 0-24 months, with a caregiver.

Join us for a morning of building! Use the library's blocks and building toys to build with your little one while working on fine motor skills! For ages 0-5 with a caregiver.

Join the staff of the Thurmont and Emmitsburg Libraries for a pop-up to celebrate Spring on the Mount Saint Mary's campus. Library staff will visit the quad with plenty of materials for checkout, as well as some fun games!

Enjoy a variety of activities to help develop the skills needed for school. Designed for ages 0-5 with a caregiver.

Preschoolers and their caregivers will build school-ready skills while having fun and exploring their social-emotional selves at this weekly kindergarten prep program. For ages 3-5 with a caregiver.

Join Middletown Branch Librarians each month at the senior center for a topical discussion of favorite, new or trending titles. We will have a selection of items to check out and you'll have an opportunity to sign up for a library card!

Floods, fires, and avalanches - oh my! Join us as we explore the world and its natural disasters through an in-depth study of the I Survived series by Lauren Tarshis.

Enjoy a fun afternoon creating as we empty out the craft closet.  Bring your friends and make bracelets, picture frames, buttons, yarn art, and more! For ages 11-18. All activities while supplies last. 

A bleeding injury can happen anywhere. Life-threatening bleeding can happen in people injured in serious accidents or disasters. The number 1 cause of preventable death after injury is bleeding.
