Visit the Library Book Bike at the Frederick City Market! Library staff will be there to check out books, make library cards, and answer any library questions you may have!

Join us for a special story time featuring a visitor from the Vigilant Hose Company as we observe Fire Prevention Week. Enjoy music, stories, and more!  Fire truck and ambulance on site if not on an emergency all.

Join us for a short walk around town.  We will stop at Vigilant Hose Company for a short presentation.  During our walk, we will share what we are reading and watching.

The Maryland Room will be participating in the Buckingham's Choice Wellness Showcase to share information about the Maryland Room and its holdings, including databases relevant to the study of local and family history.

Frederick County Public Libraries will be tabling at the Buckingham's Choice Wellness Showcase to share information about Library Cards, Large Print materials, and our wide range of digital resources.

Children learn and explore through hands on activities using science, technology, engineering, art, and math concepts at the library. Caregivers are encouraged to connect with children and participate in the activities!

Visit your favorite librarians at FCPL's pop-up table at the Learning Disabilities and Mental Health Resource Fair. We'll be at Monocacy Valley Church and sharing library resources that support dyslexia.

Black cats, bats and goofy ghosts come alive with the scrape of a squeegee! Come prepared to get a little messy during this fun hands-on painting activity. Age group: Birth-5, Elementary. 

Spiders, ghosts, bats and more! Get into the spooky spirit and sculpt spooky creatures from clay.

Let's create a mini pumpkin arrangement using fresh and dried flowers from the Teen Library Garden.  We will have statice, strawflowers, zinnias, celosia and other wonderful flowers to choose from to create a beautiful mini arrangement.

Come practice your reading skills with patient and adorable Reading Assistance Dogs (R.E.A.D.) from WAGS for Hope! For children grade K-5.
