Brunswick Arts Council Program: Fix-it Fair

Come to the first ever Brunswick Fix-It Fair where the Brunswick Arts Council and community members will provide tools and expertise to help you fix broken household items or torn clothing. Don’t toss it, fix it! Bring one or two household items in need of minor repairs and prepare to get your hands dirty. Space and tools will be provided and expert volunteers will be on-hand to help you clean, diagnose, repair, and customize lamps, bikes, jeans, air fryers, socks, and everything in between! Children need an adult guardian.

There will be a welcome table to help direct people to the station best suited for their item. Each person will get a 15-minute slot with an expert. A signup sheet will be provided and attendees will be asked to be present for the duration of their time slot with the expert. Stations will include: clothes mending, kitchen appliances/electronics repair, light construction needs (gluing, zip ties, and other basic structural repairs), bike repair, and tool cleaning/de-rusting.
