Holiday Closing - Thanksgiving

Frederick County Public Libraries will close at 5pm on Wednesday, November 27 and will remain closed on Thursday November 28, and Friday November 29, 2024 in observance of Thanksgiving.

Event Details

Discover and explore the world around you through science, math, technology, history, art, and literature. Designed for kids in grades K-5.

Join staff from NIH/NCI at Frederick to learn about the composition of stars in the universe, the life cycle of stars, and the formation of constellations. Students will model edible constellations, take away galaxy dough that is sure to simmer and lastly construct a Galileo inspired Star Viewer to illuminate the various star alignments.
