Join us for this special nature themed storytime to celebrate the Frederick City Nature Challenge where you and your family can become citizen scientists! Storytime will take place at Shelter 1 at Middletown Park. Please note that the plan is to take a short .25-mile nature walk on a wooded dirt trail.

*Weather permitting*  Call the branch for weather change updates. Plan B is to meet for storytime in the Middletown Branch Library Community Room. Designed for ages 0-5, with a caregiver.

The City Nature Challenge is an international community science event, motivating people around the world to find and document wildlife. For the first time in 2025, Frederick county residents joined the Washington DC Metro Area team to participate in this bioblitz-style competition where cities and regions are in a friendly contest with each other to see who can make the most observations of nature.
