Holiday Closing - Thanksgiving
Frederick County Public Libraries will close at 5pm on Wednesday, November 27 and will remain closed on Thursday November 28, and Friday November 29, 2024 in observance of Thanksgiving.

Songs, stories, and play for babies and their grownups. Designed for ages 0-24 months with a caregiver.
Outdoor Baby Shark Storytime @ the Urbana Library Plaza
Celebrate Shark Week with a fin-tastic storytime for the entire family! We'll have a visit from Baby Shark, read, sing, dance, and celebrate all creatures that swim under the sea! For ages 0-5 with a caregiver.
Enjoy a lively Storytime filled with music, movement.
Offsite: Nature Storytime and Hike at Catoctin Mountain Park
Spend a morning in nature. Enjoy a nature-themed storytime followed by an easy, ranger-guided hike. Come dressed for the weather. Meet at gravel parking lot across from park visitor center - 14707 Park Central Road, Thurmont, MD.
Frederick County 275th: Story Explorers at Utica District Park
Join us for a special preschool storytime located at Utica District Park 10200-B Old Frederick Rd, Frederick, MD 21701. We will meet near Shelter 1.
While summer is here, enjoy a free lunch! Lunches available for carry-out or curbside pick-up for youth ages 0-18. Funds provided by Glade Valley Community Services and the Town of Walkersville.
The City of Frederick will visit us serve lunches for children and teens (under 18) each afternoon this summer from 12:15-1:00 pm. Lunch will be served June 5-August 18 (lunches will not be served on June 19 & July 4).

Dinosaur Princess Tea Party (ages 3-8)
Bring your little dinosaur and/or tea party hostess down for this one-of-a-kind tea party. We hope to answer a couple questions such as, "How Do Dinosaurs Show Good Manners" and how to be a gracious host with a little help from "Tea Rex".
