Holiday Closing - Thanksgiving
Frederick County Public Libraries will close at 5pm on Wednesday, November 27 and will remain closed on Thursday November 28, and Friday November 29, 2024 in observance of Thanksgiving.

While summer is here, enjoy a free lunch! Lunches available for carry-out or curbside pick-up for youth ages 0-18. Funds provided by Glade Valley Community Services and the Town of Walkersville.
Young learners can practice skills they will need for school - listening, asking, writing, cutting, tracing, and more.

Songs, stories, and fun for toddlers and their grownups. Designed for 2 year olds with a caregiver.Preschoolers and their caregivers will practice school-readiness skills with cutting, tracing, play, and other literacy activities.
This summer, free lunches will be available from Tuesday through Thursday for youths 18 and under. Lunch may be picked up between 12 and 1pm, while supplies last, and may be carried out or enjoyed on the library's covered deck.
The City of Frederick will visit us serve lunches for children and teens (under 18) each afternoon this summer from 12:15-1:00 pm. Lunch will be served June 5-August 18 (lunches will not be served on June 19 & July 4).
Join professional crafter Denise Wagenaar and learn how to decorate a tote bag using fabric paint and a variety of stamping techniques. All supplies are provided, just bring your imagination! (while supplies last)

Frederick County 275th: Knucklers Marble Mania
Come learn about how to play marbles at this interactive program with the Frederick County Knucklers, a hobby group that has members who have been National Marble Champions.
Crafters, Creepers, and Master Builders are invited to the Minecraft Club. Chat with other players, work together to build great things, or just play on the Library’s own server.
Children can learn and explore using STEAM-based activities. Caregivers are encouraged to connect with children and participate in the activities! Designed for elementary students in grades K-5.
Come for a little taste of the show Princess Whatshername at the library with musical selections and a meet & greet with the cast.
Come play on Open Game Night! Board games, card games, chess and much more. It's a fun night of cooperative play and team building.
