UNPLUGGED is a midweek mindfulness program for teens and tweens. It features low lighting, soft noise, and sensory tools. Each program features a different mindful activity to promote mental wellbeing. This week's activity is weaving.

Lava lamps were created in the 1960’s and have amazed generations of people. Did you know that you can make a different type of lava lamp at home using water, oil, and Alka-Seltzer? Make your own lava lamp to take home.

Ever wanted to fly through space or stand on top of a volcano? With green screen technology, you can! Tweens will act, pose, and film while we replace the background with exciting digital scenes.

Have you ever wanted to make large origami? Spend the afternoon creating large origami designs, like hats. 

Participants will explore basic engineering and physics concepts by designing and building a bridge using only newspapers and limited supplies. Teens will test strength, stability, and load-bearing capacity. Ages 13-18.
