Lunches are provided by Helping Hands and Caring Hearts, a local nonproft.

A multi-sensory storytime designed to support children with autism or sensory processing challenges. This time is designed to meet your child where they are in, a fun, engaging environment.

Is your child interested in learning how to care for a garden? Look no further! Join us for a fun morning of exploring, creating, and learning how to care for plants and gardens at the Emmitsburg Library. Ages 0-12.

Join us every Thursday this summer for a Tween/Teen Leadership Camp and earn Community Service hours each week. Today, we will work with Project Linus to make children's no sew blankets to donate.

Drop your stuffed animal friend off at the library for a back to school sleepover on Saturday, August 2 (10-4:30)!

Get ready for an energetic music show that inspires fun, laughter, and dancing! (Outdoors, weather permitting)

Practice reading skills to patient and adorable Reading Education Assistance Dogs (R.E.A.D.). For Children Grades K-5. 

Join Mr. Chris at the library this summer for “Color Our World” – a movement-filled adventure! This year’s program features 10 exciting PE-style stations, including rolling, underhand and overhand tossing, an obstacle course, and much more!

Find Waldo in Downtown Frederick begins on Tuesday, July 1 and ends on Saturday, July 26 with the We Found Waldo Celebration in the C. Burr Artz Library Community Room at 2 pm.

Bio-Awesome Builders: Make Your Own Eco-Toys with scientist, Vanya Paralanov, a Molecular and Cell Biologist and Director of CELLS. Inc a Makerspace located in Frederick MD.

Celebrate creativity and compassion at Color Me Kind, where little artists will tie-dye their own colorful bandanas while learning how small acts of kindness can brighten the world.

Explore the radical world of reptiles with Nicole and her exotic pets! Not only will participants learn all about what makes a reptile a reptile, they will have the opportunity to pet and interact with lots of animal friends!

Drop in for a hands-on STEM Lab or STEAM Lab opportunity. This program is designed for children in grades K-5 and their caregiver.

Unleash your creativity through fun, hands-on art activities! Kids will explore colorful materials and make their own unique masterpieces inspired by a surprise theme. Let your imagination run wild! Geared for elementary ages.

Join Nicole and her critters to learn all about Radical Reptiles!

Put your puzzle-solving clues to the test to escape the library during a fun escape game! 

This program is for children in kindergarten through 5th grades (ages 5-10).

Join us for a special ice cream storytime at Sweet Babe's Creamery. Filled with sweet stories, cool songs, and a special visit from a surprise guest, this storytime will be a treat for all ages! Geared for ages 0-5 with a caregiver. 

Join us in the library garden.  Learn how to properly care for vegetables and flowers.  This hands-on activity will take place next door to the library along Cedar Avenue.  Be sure to wear old shoes!

Join us for an all-ages storytime after a long day of work and play. Unwind with stories, songs, and rhymes for the whole family!

Join us for bedtime themed songs and stories--pajamas are welcome!
